gmail offline

This process should work but it does not. Apple knows and doesn't care to fix this. My gmail accounts go offline a couple times a day, I have to launch Safari and sign into them there. I am going to stop using Apple mail, it is garbage, and just use the Gmail app

Try taking it back online: In the top menu in Mail click on Mailboxes then Take all Accounts online.
