How to identify if the phone is refurbished

Hi!

I recently bought iPhone 7 plus from e-commerce site in Dubai. I found a small trace alter in packaging of iPhone.

How can I check if the phone i received is New or Refurbished?

Can Apple provide any confirmation if the phone is Refurbished ?

Hello.

Check you Serial Number, especially, the letters.

M – Brand new device, meaning the device was purchased new
F – Refurbished device, meaning the device has been through refurbishing process
