Mac mini bluetooth connectivity issues

My Majic Mouse 2 goes wonky after just a few minutes of connection. This also happens to every 3rd party bluetooth keyboard and mouse that I have tried. All of this makes me think that it's my Mac Mini that's the problem. Any suggestions?
