iMac is stuck on startup. Cannot start in safe mode

iMac starts, see the apple and a progress bar. Then it goes to white screen and after 2 minutes starts the cycle over again. I cannot get it into safe mode Ken recovery mode.

Try resetting the NVRAM and if you cannot do that try restarting the Recovery partition (Command + R on startup) and if that will not work then you have a hardware problem and need to take the computer to your local Apple Store or AASP to be diagnosed.

If you can start in the Recovery Partition open Disk Utilities and run First Aid 2-3 times back to back and if any errors appear then you know the HD has failed. However if you run FA 2-3 times and no errors appear and your problem persiststs then you need to take it to your local Apple store or AASP as advised above.

Good luck!
