Cant restore backup & iOS 12.4

Hi, I had an iPhone with iOS 12.4 installed and did a backup on iTunes. When I bought a new one and wanted to restore the backup it wouldn't let me because the software installed on the iPhone (iOS 12.3.1) was outdated by the 12.4 and now I can't download iOS 12.4 to match it with the one on my iTunes backup so I cant recover all my data.

Backup Issue!!! Hi, My iphone6s brke recently and as I have an old iphone5C, I'm trying to restore the backup I took a few days before 6s broke onto my Windows 10 laptop. I'm trying to restore this back up to the 5C but getting a msg to say cant due to ios version issue. Is there any way to get round this? TIA

New phone won't let me restore backup, version mismatch Hi. My New iPhone 11 is 13.4 Old iPhone 7 plus is 13.4.1 New iPhone won't upgrade, says "iOS 13.4 Your software is up to date." My backup from my older phone won't restore to my new phone because my new phone won't update to 13.4.1. i.e. I can't restore my backup to my new phone. Is there a way to resolve this? Did a search and didn't see an existing thread for this question. Thanks!

iOS 12.4 has not been released, so you must have a beta version. You cannot restore a newer version to a phone with an older version. As it's a beta you cannot install it on your XS either.
