Icloud breach

I received 3 calls today with the Apple Support 1-800 number in the caller ID telling me my ICloud security had been breached and I should press 1 to connect to an Apple representative. Instead I hung up and called the support number but couldn't get a live person on the line.

Is this a scam?

Yes, such calls are scams from criminals trying to steal your personal and financial information.

Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

Absolutely a scam! Apple will never initiate telephone contact with a customer.
