Hi, I bought an apple watch series 3 38mm, haven’t opened the package, would I be able to exchange it for a 42mm paying the difference ?

If you purchased direct from Apple you have a 14 day return/refund/exchange window. If you purchased from a third party reseller the return policy may be different.
