using electric guitar in id4 interface can hear in monitor but not recording

Hello out there,

Running electric guitar into id4 interface, I can hear it in the monitor when I play, but it's not recording.

I've pressed red record enable button but nothings being recorded, though I can hear recorded software of drummer track.

I'm new to Logic Pro X so it's all a bit baffling at the moment....can't wait to get my songs down!
