How to stop automatic redirect to yahoo in safari?

When I try to search in the address bar it automatically redirects me to yahoo, rather than google. I have set google as my default search engine. Do you know how I can stop being redirected to yahoo?

I have tried everything suggested in previous discussion including deleting extensions (safari-> preferences-> deleting extensions), Setting google as my search engine again, using Open a Finder window. (From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder, Type or copy paste the following:~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist, Click Go then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the trash)

nothing has worked so far.

Please help

Try downloading this program which was written by Thomas R, a long time poster. The program will search for malware/adware The program will do the work for you which makes it easy. It may be necessary to run more than one scan. After running the scans, restart the computer.

Thank you so much. It worked. Malwarebytes detected a malware that was hidden and deleting that changed everything back to normal. Additionally that malware interrupted my VMWare-Horizon app and I could not remotely access to my work stations. Deleting that malware fixed that problem too
