Videos start off blurry on my iphone XS Max then gets better after 5 seconds. The same videos play just fine on my $90 other smartphone. How can I fix this?

Address this issue to the developers of the sites.
You are using different smartphones with different software and different algorithms. Maybe they should optimise it for Safari if you are using it to watch a video.
Or their apps.
but videos on Bleacherreport.com and YouTube play without a problem.
Proving it's a website issue.
What is the source for the video?
Espn.com and nba.com. The commercials play fine but the basketball clips starts out blurry for the first 5 seconds.
App or Browser? Wifi or cellular data?
Google Chrome and both app and browser.
Ithought it could be the website, but I know my phone also want play videos from entertainment sites Etonline.com and extratv.com but videos on Bleacherreport.com and YouTube play without a problem.
But the video plays fine on my LG phone so I was worried. I know they are different phones with different technology but you sound right. Thanks!
