We purchased a new MacMini just after its release, it came with OSX 10.14 but ever since we purchased it, we haven't been able to update MacOS. It just comes up with the error "Unable to verify update". This has been going on for some time, and with a lot of searching I have not been able to find a solution. The Mac is constantly trying to update and always telling us to restart to update but then it has the same error.

Manually Launch the downloaded installer. If it still refuses then boot into Safe Boot Mode and try again

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-10 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches, dynamic loader cache, etc. get cleared and rebuilt.

I contacted support and they gave me this answer, but the update wouldn't install even manually. Had to reinstall macOS using recovery.
